Case Study 2 - Web mashup


The sales arm of an information services company used the site
linkedin.com  to gather contact information which they
then copied into their Salesforce database as leads which they were
then able to market to and track etc. However, copying the data
across from linkedin was time consuming, error prone. Worst
of all the process was tedious, which meant it just didnt
get done as much as it should have been so the number of leads processed was
too small and the company was generating insufficient sales.
We created a custom tool to automate the process at a cost of £1200
and this led to the generation of £140,000 in sales revenue in
the first year.
